    Great place for snacks, coffee, tea, and cocktails. Open in the evenings with inside and outside seating.

  • Cowbell Kitchen (Leesburg)

    Lovely outdoor seating area and plenty of plant-based food options. Ice cream and cocktails served from the outdoor window in warm weather. Also home to the King Street Collective, a collection of small, women-owned boutique shops.

  • Weird Brothers Coffee (Leesburg)

    Mischief menu coffee and tea drinks are wildly creative and so good! Cool merch and even better vibe. Their Village at Leesburg location is right next to Wegmans so you can have your coffee and do your grocery shopping too.

  • Blend Coffee Bar (Ashburn)

    Inside and outside seating, tons of variety, and they also offer cocktails and milkshakes!

  • Le 23 (Herndon)

    Female-owned and French-themed cafe and bakery.

  • Hideaway Cafe (Winchester)

    On the downtown mall in old town Winchester, this cafe not only serves coffee and tea; they are also home to Winchester’s best espresso martini.

  • Ida Lee Rec Center (Leesburg)

    Classes, indoor and outdoor aquatic centers, indoor tennis, and home to the annual “Freeze Your Gizzard” Thanksgiving 5K.

  • Rust Library (Leesburg)

    Close to Ida Lee Rec Center, expansive library with meeting rooms, a maker space, and lots of events.

  • Morven Park (Leesburg)

    Former home of Virginia Governor Westmoreland Davis based in the heart of the Piedmont. Gardens, mansion, walking, and hiking trails. Also home to events from gardening to equestrian.

  • Thomas Balch Library (Leesburg)

    Historic library with a wealth of local genealogy resources. Hosts book club and interesting volunteer events for those interested in cataloging local history.

  • The Wine Kitchen (Leesburg)

    Lunch or dinner with inside and outside seating, this small restaurant has a tremendous selection of wines and some of the best housemade ice cream around.

  • Sidebar Cafe (Leesburg)

    Coffee, snacks, happy hour, lunch/dinner — it has it all. Happy hour is an incredible bargain!

  • Tuscarora Mill (Leesburg)

    Recently celebrated 40 years in business, Tuskies is a Leesburg mainstay. The main restaurant is lovely, but I find the bar is much more fun!

  • Fireworks Pizza (Leesburg)

    Part of the Tuskies family, Fireworks is our go-to pizza place. Beer selection is huge, curated by Justin (his mom was my hair stylist for years until she moved to CA!).

  • Basic City Beer (Waynesboro)

    With another location in Richmond, Basic City has one of my favorite IPAs, The 6th Lord. Not too far from Staunton, it’s worth the drive.

  • Birchtree Books (Leesburg)

    Independent bookseller combined with Foliage Plants plant shop. Cozy nooks to explore, lots of book clubs, and beautifully curated selection of books.

  • Lost Fox Hideaway (Leesburg)

    Located in One Loudoun, Lost Fox has the best smashburger in Loudoun County (in my opinion!). Can get loud (live music) in the evenings, but the food is fabulous.

  • Creme de la Creme (Leesburg)

    Home decor, dishes, furnishings (upstairs), books, even some textiles and clothes!

  • Lucky Knot Boutique (Leesburg)

    Dangerous place to shop as I always find something I want. Clothing for men and women and accessories. Evening wear upstairs.

  • Nibblins Kitchen Store (Winchester)

    Located on the downtown mall in old town Winchester, this small store is packed full of eery kind of kitchen supply imaginable.

  • Bell's Fine Clothing (Winchester)

    Although it’s listed as men’s fine clothing, they carry women’s as well as accessories. Family-owned and celebrating 100 years in business, pricy but worth wandering around and the family owners are a hoot.

  • Stone Tower Winery (Leesburg)

    On Hogback mountain, beautiful setting and great wines.

  • Heeling House (Leesburg)

    Therapeutic/service puppy raisers and superb training organization, Heeling House has a variety of training options and their newly construct outdoor pool and dockdiving facility near Oatlands in Leesburg on Rt. 15.
